Was the Northern Tool and Equipment sponsor for Kvapil just for one race or is it permanent?
Travis Kvapil is one of the better drivers in NASCAR and Todd Parrott has won a championship as a crew chief, so it has puzzled me why a guy with more Top 10's than half of the field doesn't have a sponsor. I noticed Northern Tool and Equipment sponsored him for Talladega, but I didn't hear whether it was for just one race or the rest of the season. This guy is too good not to have someone sponsor him when lesser drivers have big sponsors.

- Pretty sure it was just a one race deal. But since he finished in the Top 10, they may consider sponsoring him in a few more races.
- I believe it was just a one race deal. Here is all that jayski had to say about it. Northern Tool + Equipment to Sponsor Travis Kvapil at Talladega IMAGE: Yates Racing announced that Northern Tool + Equipment, a leading supplier of high-quality tools and equipment for more than 27 years, will sponsor the #28 entry with driver Travis Kvapil for this weekend's Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 27th. Sunday's race will mark the first time Northern Tool + Equipment has been a primary sponsor in NASCAR's most elite division, the Sprint Cup Series. Northern Tool + Equipment has been a sponsor in the Craftsman Truck Series since 2006 3 STR8 N 08!!!
- Yates has had trouble getting sponsorship for a few years now. I really hope someone can keep them afloat until they get some help. Roush has been helping and it benefits both teams and Ford. Kvapil did poorly his 1st time around in Cup but he has come back this time and done very well. He is making the best of a 2nd chance and I hope he gets some help so he can keep it going.
- It was just a one race deal. The entry list for Richmond shows that the 28 car's sponsor is Yates Racing which it has been for most of the year.
- I believe the Talladega race was a one race deal but I sense sponsorship in some form is right around the corner. Gilliland got freecreditreport.com back for Talladega also.
- It was for just the one race. I read somewhere that Ford Motor Company may step up and become a part time sponsor on the car. Kvapil is probably the best driver no one knows about and with good money he could become a top contender.
- It was just the one race. I have always like Travis and was thrilled to hear that he was going to Yates, but was pissed when M&M's/Mars/Snickers pulled their sponsorship to go with the shrub. I will never buy M&M's/ Snickers again!
