How does something like Daemon Tools or Alcohol burn DVD's?

I only have a CD-RW and a DVD Player not a burner. How does Daemon Tool or Alcohol burn DVD's

1. Daemon or Alcohol don't burn DVD's they only mount images, meaning if they create a virtual DVD drive making your computer believe that there is another DVD drive present on your computer and you can use that to mount DVD images. You CANNOT burn those files to a physical DVD unless you have a DVD burner.
