Is Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120 Percent easy and free to use?

Are both or either one of them freeware? If not and if their demos, can I still use them to a point to emulate a program or application without the actual CD?

1. I like Daemon Tools. It provides much more features. Alcohol 120 is very nice too but less features. None are free. Both have trials.
