What tool is needed to remove the differential shaft pin in a Dana 35?
I need to know what type of tool is used to remove the shaft pin to release the roll pin, and where to find the tool. Looks like a female torx?

- 8mm or 5/16 12 point wrench will do it. If it starts to "strip" the head, apply heat. The pin has Loc-Tite on it. I am assuming you have a Dana 35 with C-clips and you are trying to pull the axles. If it is not a C-clip, you will need a long skinny punch to remove the roll pin in order to pull the center pin. Good Luck
