Whats the name of the tool auto mechanics use to spread parts away?

A tool that if something was pushed to far together, it can push it back away.

  5. There are seal pullers and bearing pullers and slide hammers and steering wheel pullers and harmonic balancer pullers/installers. And there are ring spreaders that remove and install retaining rings/clips. Also, punches and broken bolt and screw extractors or "easy outs". Good Luck!

  7. Pry bar?
